Mrs Jacob

As a dedicated and accomplished educator, I am driven by a commitment to inspire curiosity and a lifelong passion for learning in my students. My academic achievements include a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), a Bachelor of Honours in Education (B.Ed. Hons), and a Master’s Degree in Education (M.Ed.). These qualifications have underpinned my eight years of impactful teaching across primary and secondary schools in South Africa and the United Kingdom.

My teaching journey has been enriched by international exposure, notably through a global exchange program at Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, where I deepened my understanding of diverse cultural and educational contexts.

Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Philosophy in Education, I balance rigorous academic research with full-time teaching, further enhancing my ability to view education through a holistic lens. This dual role has sharpened my instructional strategies, enabling me to design engaging curricula, assess student progress effectively, and foster inclusive learning environments where every student feels valued and supported.

The journey toward achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through the AO route, followed by the successful completion of my year 2 Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction, has been enriched by the exceptional training and support I received from the Academies. Throughout this period, I developed confidence, resilience, and a strong professional identity, supported by structured mentoring, targeted professional development, and reflective practice aligned with the Teachers’ Standards.

The Academies’ unwavering support and collaborative environment have played a crucial role in my professional growth. Working alongside dedicated mentors and colleagues during my ECT years encouraged me to continually refine my teaching methods, strengthen my classroom practice, and embrace innovation in my approach. These opportunities not only enhanced my ability to inspire and engage students but also reinforced the importance of professional collaboration and shared learning in education.

This combination of rigorous training, diverse experiences, and the successful completion of my ECT induction has shaped me into a confident, reflective, and capable educator, committed to empowering students to reach their full potential.

I am profoundly grateful for the training and mentorship I received, which have been instrumental in my development and in my ongoing mission to make a meaningful and lasting impact in education.
