Assistant Headteacher, Behaviour & Attitudes

We are seeking to appoint a talented, committed, and inspirational Assistant Headteacher for Behaviour & Attitudes to join our ambitious and values‑driven Senior Leadership Team. This role is central to shaping a calm, safe, and aspirational climate for learning where all pupils feel known, valued, and able to flourish.

Salary: Academy Leadership Scale 7-11 £63,429 — £69,828 (Actual starting salary £63,429 with performance-based increments available)

Position Available: September 2026

You will lead the strategic development of the school’s behaviour culture, student conduct, personal development, and wider attitudes to learning, ensuring systems are consistent, relational, and aligned with school values. You will join a collegiate senior team who model integrity and put pupils and staff at the heart of decision‑making. 

We are looking for a leader who:

  • Has a strong track record of improving behaviour and culture across a secondary setting. 
  • Understands both the relational and systemic elements of behaviour leadership.
  • Demonstrates excellent analysis, communication, and implementation skills.
  • Champions safeguarding, inclusion, and equitable access for all pupils. 
  • Is committed to ensuring that pupils' attitudes, engagement, and sense of safety meet the highest standards.
