Salary £32,189 — £49,274 (Academy Qualified Teachers Scale)

We wish to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Performing Arts (Music & Drama Specialist). This is a unique opportunity to join a successful split-site academy as part of a supportive team.
The post is open to teachers of all levels of experience, and we welcome applications from ECTs.
The successful candidates will have an enthusiasm that will inspire students to outstanding outcomes.
Our academy operates across two sites. The Lower Academy specialises in the teaching of our Key Stage 3 students, whilst The Upper Academy specialises in teaching Key Stage 4 and 5. We pride ourselves on being a truly inclusive academy and this is actively underpinned by our motto ‘Aspire Believe Achieve’.
Music is in its second year of delivery at the Lower Academy, with a view to developing year-on-year with each new cohort; eventually offering both KS4 & KS5 Music at The Upper Academy. The role will initially be based at our Lower academy, teaching predominantly KS3 Music alongside a rotation of KS3 Drama.
You will be joining a small yet passionate performing arts team, who are incredibly proud of their achievements in the last two years. We run a successful peripatetic timetable with over 30 students learning 1-2-1 with our tutors in guitar, piano, drums, singing and bass guitar. Our choir has over 50 talented members and our first annual school production last year involved over 50 students and 40 staff.
