Student Development Assistant's (SDA's) provide the support that is required to enable barriers to learning to be overcome and to enable all pupils to maximise their enjoyment and learning from their time in the Academy. This is a unique opportunity to join a successful academy as part of a supportive and very hard-working pastoral team.

The appointed Student Development Assistant will support the Year Group Teaching Lead (currently for our year 8 cohort at the Lower Academy) and will have responsibility for daily matters such as consistency checks, on-call, uniform, attendance and attitude to learning, as well as supporting teachers in ensuring pupils engage with their learning in order to meet their targets.

We are an aspirational academy operating across two sites.  The Lower Academy specialises in the teaching of our Key Stage 3 students, whilst the Upper Academy specialises in teaching Key Stage 4 and 5.   We pride ourselves on being a truly inclusive academy and this is actively underpinned by our motto ‘Aspire Believe Achieve’.

The academy prides itself on providing staff with the most appropriate and effective support to ensure that their professional development needs are fully met and that there is a high level of challenge in the opportunities they are offered.   We have an excellent track record of providing promotion and responsibility opportunities to staff that aspire to leadership.
