Sixth Form Application
Applications to the Basildon Academies Sixth Form are made on the online Application Form which there is a link to at the bottom of this page.
Applications will be considered and places allocated until programmes are full at the following deadlines.
Round 1 Applications Closing date Friday 16th December 2011
Round 2 Applications closing date Friday 30th March 2012
Any remaining places will be allocted as applications are made.
Instructions for Completing the Form
Please note your application cannot be saved so you need to have key information before you start and then complete it all in one go. The information you need is as follows:
- contact details for you and your parents, including email addresses. Contact with applicants is by email so it is very important that we have an accurate email address to an account which you check regularly.
- accurate email address and details for your head of year so that we can check your grades
- you need to have answers to the following questions. We recommend that you plan these in advance in another programme and then cut and paste them into the Application Form.
1) Please tell us about any support needs you have or gifted and talented programmes which you have been part of
2) Why have you picked the subjects you have chosen
3) Please give us any details you have about your future career or university plans
4) What clubs, activities or responsibilities are you currently involved in and what would you like to do at the Sixth Form
5) Please tell us why you think our Sixth Form will be a good place for you to study
The Application Form must be completed in English. Incomplete forms will not be processed.
We will make offers by email 1 month after each deadline and you must respond by the deadline in the email, otherwise your place will be offered to someone else.
